Color steel corrugated sheet is a kind of pressure panel that is made by cold rolling the colored steel into various profile. It is used in the industrial and civil building,warehouse,special purpose building, large-span structure house roof, walls and the interior or exterior decoration and so on.
Cut the Sheet
Rest the metal sheet face-down on padded supports and cut it while on the ground. Use the right tools that heat it minimally. Overheating can damage the color-coated roofing sheet. For smaller cut-outs, openings, and non-straight cuts, use a jigsaw. On the other hand, use a circular saw with a fine-tooth metal cutting blade for long straight cuts. Remove the leftover fine chips and stone particles.
Lay the Sheet
Clean the roof thoroughly and take care of the old shingles. Once you clean the roof, spread the sheets over the purlins attached to the roof’s trusses. Position the sheets appropriately and then secure them. The first row of the sheet should extend over the bottom to allow rainwater to flow into the gutter. Always begin laying the sheets from the outside edge.
Screw the Panels
Get roof fasteners with polycarbonate washers. Lap over the panels by a minimum of 5.5 cm. Adjust the lap to ensure the last installed panel completes the layout without making any extra lengthwise cuts.
If you have a two-sided roof, repeat all the steps and install a ridge cap.
Work on the Protrusions
Flash protrusions like ducts and pipes where they pass through the sheeting surface. Install extra framing where you have to cut away the ribs to allow penetration.
